Kayla and Daniel’s Annapolis Maritime Museum wedding was absolutely perfect! I loved that these two chose to keep their guest list small and were able to enjoy their day with all of their guests without being overwhelmed.
Kayla found me on instagram while searching for photographers who had worked at the Annapolis Maritime Museum. Little did we know when she reached out how much we had in common. The first thing I noticed was that she has the same name as my daughter. The connectors went deeper as we learned that we are both from St. Louis, she and my dad share a birthday, love Imo’s pizza and much more. Daniel and I also had connections in various areas including our love of country music and distaste of as he puts it “crap music”.
Kayla and Daniel kept with the nautical theme of the Annapolis Maritime Museum and its history with oysters by incorporating them into their invitations, place cards, and even a live shucker during cocktail hour. Daniel arrived at the ceremony on a water taxi and Kayla chose to walk down the dock for her entrance. During their portrait time we were lucky to have beautiful deep blue skies and even had some sailboats pass by at just the right time. The dance floor was packed the entire night and one of my favorite parts of the evening that I am not sure Kayla and Daniel even know about is that their guests started singing ” God Bless America” as they lit their sparklers and waited for Kayla and Daniel to make their exit through the sparklers to their water taxi!
