Royal Sonesta Wedding

Kacey and Sean were married last weekend at the Royal Sonesta in Baltimore.  Kacey spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids in the presidential suite.

While the ladies had mimosa’s the guy’s were treated to cigars.

Once everyone was dressed and ready, Sean waited patiently for Kacey on the rooftop of the Royal Sonesta for their first look.  We were lucky enough to get in a few portraits before the rain started.

With the rain starting to fall, we moved inside for a few more photos prior to the ceremony.

The story behind how Kacey and Sean came together and eventually became Mr. and Mrs. is best told by Kacey – “Sean and I met at a Ravens tailgate on November 10, 2013. The group of friends I was with knew someone at the tailgate so we decided to stop by. Sean and I talked the entire time and he asked me for my number before we parted ways. Luckily I had a good feeling about Sean and therefore gave him my correct number because he called me right then to make sure I didn’t give him a fake number (smart guy!). We went on our first date the night before Thanksgiving. That year the Ravens had a home game on Thanksgiving Day so we spent the day together at the tailgate. Needless to say, the Ravens were and always will be an important part in our relationship.
We both can agree on when we knew we were meant for each other. There was a snowstorm on February 13, 2014. With the forecast of snow and Valentine’s Day, I packed my bags and knew I would be staying at Sean’s house for a few days. We were snowed in for 2 days and practically never left Sean’s basement. We binge watched the entire second season of House of Cards, ate a lot pizza and drank even more beer. We always reminisce about that weekend because life just seemed so easy. We didn’t have a care in the world while sitting together in our pizza stained sweatpants. I think we both realized life doesn’t get much better than that!”

When asked about the wedding planning process Kacey shared the following – “What in the world did brides do before Pinterest?!? Pinterest was my saving grace for colors, centerpieces, ceremony décor, etc. I’ve heard many stories from other brides stating that their grooms were little to no help in the planning process. I could not disagree more! Sean was very hands-on in the process. He was right by my side for almost every decision. He built the backdrop for our ceremony which helped us save a lot of money. I’m proud that we can honestly say we planned the wedding of our dreams, together. “

Thank you to Kacey and Sean for allowing me the privilege of being part of their Royal Sonesta Wedding.
