Amanda and Eric were referred to me by their wedding planner McKinley with Elegant Impressions. I knew from our first phone call that I was going to love working with Amanda and Eric! They had an amazing vision for their fall wedding at Olive and Oak in St. Louis. They wanted to incorporate personal touches throughout their day, they wanted to have their color palette mirror the colors of fall and most of all they wanted to have a huge party to celebrate with their friends and family.
Amanda and Eric started their wedding day at separate locations as they stuck with the tradition of not seeing each other until the ceremony. I can’t begin to express how much fun both sides of the wedding party were to work with. The ladies were full of laughter and upon completing their portrait time they chose to relax with drinks in hand as they watched college football! The men were equally amazing to work with as they enjoyed their bourbon and shared in the excitement with Eric.
Upon arrival at Olive and Oak, guests were treated to cocktails and were then seated at their tables to witness the ceremony. Each of the guests place cards were held by animals representing Eric and Amanda’s trip to Africa (fun fact, this is where they were engaged) The procession music was kicked off with the theme song for Top Gun (a favorite of Erics). The music throughout the ceremony and the entire reception was actually all music that either Amanda or Eric had seen performed live. They have a vast taste in music and often attend concerts of new as well as well known artists. With the wedding party and Amanda all at the front, it was time for a very special member of the wedding party to make is entrance. Amanda and Eric made arrangements with Wed Pets St. Louis to have their Bernese Mountain Dog, Berg join them for their ceremony as their “ring dog”. The ceremony was officiated by a friend of the couple and contained may heartfelt stories and memories of Amanda and Erics relationship.
With Amanda and Eric officially husband and wife it was time for the party to begin! Olive and Oak served the most delicious dinner and Cravings Gourmet Desserts made sure to take care of everyones sweet tooth! Elite Pro Dj continued with the personalized playlist to keep the party going throughout the night!
Thank you to the amazing team of vendors who helped bring Amanda and Eric’s vision to life!
