I had the privilege and honor of working with Hannah and Matthew for their beautiful September wedding at the Annapolis Maritime Museum. These two have to be two of the most relaxed and flexible people I have ever met! Over the course of the last year they faced the possibility of changing their wedding date due to a family members deployment, adjusted their engagement session due to their dog have having an injury and poor weather, and finally they faced the fact that their wedding day may have less then ideal weather due to A hurricane heading up the east coast. Through it all they had the best attitudes and focused on the reason for everything…They were getting married!
On the day of the wedding Hannah and her bridesmaids spent time getting ready at a stunning airbnb with views of Spa Creek. Matthew and his groomsmen chose to use an airbnb location in downtown Annapolis for their getting ready locations. When it was time for Hannah and Matthew to have their first look we all met up at the Maryland State House. The setting was absolutely perfect with beautiful foliage, cobblestone walkways and a covered entrance (just in case the rain showed up). The wedding party, the family and even their sweet golden retriever Lila joined us for portraits. With the rain showers closing in on us we decided to head to the Annapolis Maritime Museum a little early so that we could take some photos on the docks with views of the Severn River. The ceremony was moved from the side lawn to the covered deck due to the wind and rain. Thankfully you can not go wrong with any locations at the museum since they are all beautiful. Hannah and Matthew were treated to an amazing moment during their ceremony when one of Hannah’s brothers sang and her other brother played the guitar (he learned to play for the wedding). Following the ceremony the rain had stopped for a brief moment and Matthew said “lets go back out on the docks”. Hannah and Matthew braved the wind and the rising water for what are now some of my favorite wedding images I have taken at the maritime museum. The reception was filled with heartfelt toasts to the couple, tender moments during first dances, and lots of excitement and energy as everyone in attendance celebrated the newly married couple.
Thank you to all of the AMAZING vendors who worked to make Hannah Matthew’s wedding day absolutely PERFECT
