Fairhope, Alabama Proposal Photographer – Charlie and Lydia

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the moment that Charlie proposed to Lydia. To say that this evening was filled with joy and excitement would be an understatement. The Grand Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for this Fairhope, Alabama proposal. Charlie and I worked out our plan ahead of time by coordinating where on the property he should propose. I also had Charlie share his location so that I would know exactly when they arrived. I brought along my husband and my mother as decoys. I had them pose along the railing for a photo to make sure that it wasn’t obvious that the moment was about to happen as Charlie and Lydia walked by. As soon as they passed us, I turned and was ready to catch the big moment (I also had my husband record it on my cell phone so they would have a video as well).

Lydia had the most animated reaction of any proposal I have ever photographed! I was smiling ear to ear as I witnessed her jumping for joy and screaming with excitement! While she knew the day was coming soon when Charlie would propose she had absolutely no idea that this was going to be the day.

After Charlie placed the ring on Lydia’s finger we spent some time walking around The Grand Hotel. I loved how Lydia kept stopping to admire her ring and to tell Charlie how happy she was and how much she loved him!
