Anne Canon Photography

I have been pretty quiet on the blog for the last few months.  You may ask yourself, what is going on with Anne Canon Photography. Well, the best answer I can give is “It’s Complicated”.  Those of you who follow my Instagram stories and those of you who are friends with me on Facebook may have noticed a lot of posts/comments about moving.  To short answer to the big question is yes, I am moving.

However, the full answer is so much longer and so much more complicated:

Yes, we have sold our home in the Annapolis, Maryland area.

Yes, we have bought a home in the St. Louis area.

Yes, I am still living in Annapolis for a few months.

Yes, I will still be shooting ALL of the weddings I have booked for 2018 and 2019 in the D.C. metro area (as well as my destination weddings).  I can NOT wait to work with all of the amazing couples that are booked with Anne Canon Photography.

Yes, I am still accepting weddings on the East Coast.  Let’s be real, I am still booking weddings anywhere brides want me to go!   This year alone I have weddings in Florida, Maryland, Virginia, Colorado, Washington D.C. and Texas!

Yes, I am starting to book weddings in the St. Louis area!  I can not wait to photography amazing couples in the town where I grew up.

Yes, I am both sad and excited about this move.  When my family moved to Annapolis, Maryland in 2015 I was scared, nervous and excited all at the same time.  There were so many questions and uncertainties regarding how Anne Canon Photography was going to survive a cross country move to a place where I had basically zero connections.  Well, if you have been following my journey you know that all of my fears quickly faded away and Anne Canon Photography grew to be bigger and busier then I ever could have dreamed.  I fell in love with the people, the locations and the lifestyle. It may not be a beach town, however, Annapolis is a very special place that can not be truly explained with words.  Beyond Annapolis, there are so many great locations up and down the east coast that have become very special to me. It has been a wonderful adventure for our family and it makes me sad that we are leaving.  I have made the decision not to focus on the sad and what is being left behind because let’s face it!  I am NOT leaving.  I WILL be back!  In fact I have four trips already planned back to the east Coast in 2018.  One of those trips is 7 weeks long! The excited part about this move comes into play when you realize that St. Louis is “home”.  I have not lived in St. Louis sine 2001, but my family and my husbands family are all in the area.  So, we are in fact moving home.

With this move comes all of the same feelings from two and a half years ago.  How will Anne Canon Photography survive another move?  The answer I keep telling myself is that it will survive the same way it did last time.  I will continue to believe in myself, I will continue to provide the best service, and I will continue to learn and grow as a photographer so that I may create images that will be cherished for years to come.

Now for the details.  I am here is Annapolis until June 10th.  At that time I will be loading up one of my cars and making the drive to St. Louis with a  stop in Ohio for an engagement session.  I will be leaving one of my cars here in Maryland so that I will have it available for all of my trips back.  I already have plane tickets purchased and plan to be in the Annapolis area on the following dates.

2018:

June 21 – July 1

August 9 – August 12

August 22 – October 8

October 24 – November 11

2019:

June 27 – July 7

October 30 – November 3rd

I am 100% certain that more dates will be added to this schedule in the near future.
