Naval Academy Wedding – Chelsea and Kyle
Chelsea and Kyle are two of the nicest people I have ever met. From our first meeting, to their engagement session, throughout the planning process and then on the day of their Naval Academy wedding they could not have been nicer to work with. On the day of their wedding it was completely clear that I was not the only person who thought this of Chelsea and Kyle. Every single person who spoke about them offered the same sentiment that Chelsea and Kyle had huge hearts and always treated those around them with love and respect!
Chelsea and Kyle started out their wedding day at the Governor Calvert House in Annapolis, Maryland. You could feel the excitement in the air as they each spent time with their wedding party prior to departing for the Naval Academy Chapel. A wedding at the Naval Academy Chapel comes with a lot of rules and timelines. These are all in place so that the chapel can efficiently handle multiple weddings on the same day. Upon arriving at the Chapel the Groom and groomsmen are placed in one room and the Bride and bridesmaids are placed in another. Since Chelsea and Kyle chose not to have a first look they choose to stay in their respective rooms. However, they did at the last-minute decide to say hold hands on opposite sides of a door to say a prayer together prior to their ceremony. This was one of the most heartwarming moments I have ever witnessed on a wedding day!
Following the ceremony we took advantage of the amazing architecture and scenery on the Naval Academy for their wedding portraits. At one point while in Memorial Hall, Chelsea and Kyle asked if they could have a minute to practice their first dance. The resulting image of them dancing in front of the “Don’t Give Up The Ship” flag is a new favorite wedding day image of mine.
Eventually we made our way back to The Governor Calvert House where Chelsea and Kyle celebrated their marriage with family and friends!
