Bull Run Golf Club Wedding – Sarah and Andrew

Bull Run Golf Club Wedding

It was over a year ago when I first met Sarah and Andrew.  As we walked around Alexandria, VA. for their engagement session I learned all about their plans for their Bull Run Golf Club wedding.  As their wedding day approached I sent Sarah my standard questionnaire so that I could be prepared for their wedding day.  A section of the questionnaire asks couples to share their love story.

In Sarah’s own words, here is the story of Sarah and Andrew ~

“In early March 2015, my sister, Caroline, and Andrew’s cousin, Will, decided they would try their hand at match making. That day, Andrew and I received texts about one another complete with a short bio and pictures. Andrew asked Will to get my phone number and a few days later on a Friday night, he texted “Hey Sarah, two youths were apparently of the opinion that we should meet.” That Sunday we met for the first time over drinks and conversation. The following weekend we met up again, this time for a hike in Clifton. Since that day, our adventures have never ceased, from Maine to Spain; kayaking, camping, sightseeing and backpacking.

On July 30, 2016, we traveled up to Rhode Island for a long weekend to visit Andrew’s family. That Saturday we went to Little Compton, Rhode Island where we met up with Andrew’s brother Greg, his sister-in-law Ashley, and his adorable one-year-old niece Olivia. We spent the afternoon at Goosewing Beach swimming, taking a long walk, and catching up with Greg and Ashley. Later in the afternoon we packed up and drove to Sakonnet Point to see the lighthouse. Greg and Ashley were in on the plan and had their cameras ready. While admiring the Lighthouse, Andrew told me to turn around where, I saw him before me on one knee. Andrew then asked me to marry him!

We moved to Albuquerque together in January for Andrew’s job. We are loving all the outdoor activities, but really would love to move back to the east coast within the next year. We are both very family oriented and miss them all. This past August Andrew was hospitalized for 19 days, for what they found out was an abdominal infection which ended up in an open abdominal surgery. He has lost 20 lbs and we hope he can fit into his suit in time for the wedding. I spent every day with him and his mother flew out from Rhode Island. We alternated nights sleeping at the hospital so he was never alone. This time was extremely challenging and I realized just how much Andrew means to me when I was faced to picture my life without him.”

It was an absolute please being able to work with Sarah and Andrew! I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
