THE MOMENTS THAT TURN INTO MEMORIES – ANNE CANON PHOTOGRAPHY

Lauren and Bob’s wedding was what great romantic comedy movies are made of (without the drama that is sometimes thrown in by Hollywood). I am a huge fan of movies such as The Wedding Date, My Best Friends Wedding, and Sweet Home Alabama. All of these movies much like Lauren and Bob include a great love story, an amazing wedding location and wonderfully fun family and friends!

Lauren and Bob chose the beautiful Wye River Estate because it was surrounded on three sides by water. Lauren is a California native and being near water was at the top of her list. Lauren who is pursuing her MFA in interior design worked alongside with LC Events to make this backyard venue a wedding location made for the movies. A mixture of stone, wood, acrylic and glass were used along with stunning florals to enhance the already beautiful grounds.

While the details were stunning, the moments throughout the day are what the memories were made from. Some of my favorite moments from the day include:

Lauren copying her vows from her phone to paper while the hair and makeup team worked around her.
Lauren and Bob seeing each other for the first time and just getting lost in the moment.
Bob’s brothers laughing and having fun coming up with their own poses.
The proud look that never left Lauren’s fathers face the entire day.
Seeing all of the guests who chose to wear a bow tie in honor of “bow tie Bob”
The heartfelt and funny stories shared during toasts.
The dancing – the dance floor was never empty!

There was a moment toward the end of the evening when Lauren’s father thanked me and a few of the other vendors for working so hard to make Lauren and Bob’s wedding day so special. I replied that it was my pleasure and that it had been an incredible day that I was happy to be a part of. He went on to say that yes, it was an amazing day for them but that it was just another work day for us vendors and he appreciated that we had worked so hard. I was very taken back in this moment because I had honestly never thought of it that way. I love my job so much and working with couples like Lauren and Bob who also have incredible families and friends makes it so that work does not feel like work for me! This moment has turned into a memory that I will hold in my heart as I continue to work in this crazy wedding world!
