Winter Wedding – USNA

Corey and Tim have a love story that would be a perfect story line for a movie!

How We Met:

“It’s all a series of serendipities with no beginnings and no ends. Such infinitesimal possibilities through which love transcends.”
― Ana Claudia Antunes

The Texas summer night Corey and Tim met was the epitome of a serendipitous moment. Corey was on a spontaneous girl’s weekend, while Tim was on a cross country road trip from California, relocating to Camp Lejeune, NC. While both were out with friends in downtown Fort Worth they crossed paths on the dance floor. Tim noticed Corey and easily describes her as his dream girl. The two engaged in effortless conversation and discovered the coincidence that they were both in Texas for only one weekend, and that Tim was moving only four hours away from Corey in North Carolina. Tim was enamored by Corey from that moment and refused to let her slip away. Although Corey was cautious and even contemplated giving Tim a false number, she gave into his charm and handsomeness and gave him the right number.
About a month later, the two met at their special halfway point, Raleigh, NC for their first few dates. Soon after they were a couple, becoming inseparable on the weekends and quickly fell in love.

Tim’s Proposal
After one year of dating, Tim knew Corey was the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. While in Panama City, Florida during the Fall of 2015 for training, Tim took advantage of this time away from Corey to find the perfect ring that encompassed their love and future together.
After Tim returned from training right before Christmas, the couple planned a special date night together since they knew they would be spending the holidays apart with their respective families. On December 18th, they once again met in Raleigh where they began their relationship for a night out. The night started with an intimate dinner followed by Tim escorting Corey on a walk to lead her to a white horse-drawn carriage in front of the State Capitol Building in the heart of downtown. Tim believed the ride was to be short and sweet, but given the deep history of Raleigh the ride took an hour in the chilly December air. After laughing off his misconception of time, Tim asked for the coach to pull the carriage in front of the capitol building so the couple could take photos. Corey was still unknowing on the planned proposal at this point until Tim took a place on one knee, retrieved the ring from his sports coat and asked Corey to marry him.
Of course she said yes as bystanders applauded and shouted their approvals to the newly engaged couple.

On December 2, 2017 their love story continued as they were married at the Miller Chapel on The United States Naval Academy.  Below is a pictorial review of their beautiful winter wedding.

Thank you to Corey and Tim for having me be a part of your wedding.  I could not have asked for a better couple to end my 2017 weddings with!  I wish you much love and happiness!
