Patterson Park Engagement Session
I first met Eliza and Steven last year while photographing Eliza’s sister Francis wedding. I was beyond thrilled when Eliza contacted me a couple months ago to ask if I would be available to photograph her wedding to Steven this October! Eliza and Steven chose to start their engagement session at Patterson Park in Baltimore. I am sorry to say that in two years I had never been to this park. What a gem in the city I had been missing! From the lush green grass and trees to the pagoda, to the pond with a walkway surrounded by bamboo there were so many locations to choose from.
Like 99% of my couples Eliza and Steven started the session by telling me that they were awkward in front of the camera and that I would need to tell them what to do. I laugh a little every time a couple says this because I know that within 5 minutes they are going to relax and the images will be fantastic! Well, it did not even take 5 minutes with these two….the first image is actually the very first image I took at the session. After spending some time at Patterson Park, we jumped in the car and headed to one of my favorite locations in Fells Point for a few more photos along the wharf. As you can see these two became complete naturals in front of the camera. The last image just might be my favorite from the session.
