Michelle and Jack – Annapolis Wedding

Michelle and Jack contacted me last year after finding me on Instagram by searching for Annapolis weddings.  From our very first meeting I knew that I was going to enjoy working with these two!  The Annapolis Waterfront hotel was the perfect venue as Michelle and Jack were able to get ready, get married, and dance the night away all in this one beautiful location!

Michelle and Jack shared the following background about their love story and how their vision for their Annapolis wedding came to life ~  “Jack and Michelle met April 7, 2012 at Diamondback Tavern in Historic Ellicott City. We grew up about 8 miles apart from each other, but met a year after graduating college. We had no mutual friends, and met completely by chance, but Michelle likes to credit her excellent dancing skills for wowing Jack on the dancefloor! We exchanged numbers and started talking to each other the next day. Michelle was initially drawn to Jack’s kind heart and unwavering support.  He quickly became friends with Michelle’s friends and hit it off with her family. She felt like he had been around forever. At the time, Jack was studying for his CPA exams, and found a supporting and understanding companion in Michelle. He credits this attribute of hers to their success over different obstacles over the next five years.

Jack proposed June 18, 2016 in Bethany Beach, DE, while on vacation with Michelle’s family. The plan was to take family photos on the beach. After the family photos, it was Michelle and Jack’s turn to get their photo taken. After a photo or two, Jack got down on one knee and asked Michelle to marry him. Of course she said, yes!

The wedding planning began the next morning over coffee on the beach. Michelle was born in Annapolis and Jack grew up sailing on the bay, so Annapolis was quickly chosen as the location. We are excited to have our family and friends join us in a city that is full of history, sailing and of course, crab cakes! Like the first five years of our relationship, tackling each day as a team, we quickly planned many aspects of the wedding as a team. We are excited to combine our love of sailing and the bay with the elegance that Annapolis offers.  Ultimately, all of our vendors have been from recommendations from friends or from searches on social media. We are excited to see the final product of all our planning, and celebrate our love with those we love!

Jack loves to create and build things, so he quickly jumped at the opportunity to really make our reception decorations ours. He created all the “monkey fist” knots as table numbers and the crab trap card box. Pinterest and Instagram also had a big hand in the creative vision for the wedding day.”

Thank you to Michelle and Jack for allowing me to be a part of your Annapolis wedding!
